Wow- how surprising it is that none of this was reported by the "main stream" media.  The answer to "why?" is very simple, it contradicts the left's agenda.  The killer in this case had enough rounds to kill a lot more than 2 people, but when confronted with an armed citizen, he took his own life.  Guns don't kill people, people kill people.  The only way to stop a killer like this is with another gun.  When will the left get off the illogical ideas that more gun laws and more "gun free zones" prevent this type of crime, it only promotes this type of violence by creating areas that the criminal is safe from armed citizens.
